My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Ernest Munn, as this 66 year old wound is once again opened. We can only trust that our Heavenly Father has reasons for this greatest of sacrifices. Faith. Belief without proof. Sometimes it's hard. Most times its hard. The final chapter is about to be written, Ernest is coming home where he belongs, amongst his loved ones. Godspeed, airman. May you rest in Peace. Standing by to Honor you.

Because It's The Right Thing To Do.

Nothing Worthwhile is ever Easy. And Nothing Easy is Ever Worthwhile.

"American Soldiers in battle don't fight for what some president says on T.V., they don't fight for mom, apple pie, or the American flag... They fight for one another." Lt General Hal Moore

For all his bluster, it is the sad problem of man that he cannot choose his triumph,
He can only choose how he will stand when the call of destiny comes,
Hoping that he’ll have the courage to answer.

Welcome home Airman . I was stationed at Mather AFB in the mid to late seventies . Where the training flight originated from . The base had a long history of both Navigator & Pilot training wings . So this story is of special interest to me . I spent many weekends either riding or hiking through the Sierra's & the foothills below . There are some very desolate areas , This may be why it took so many years to find the remains of these soldiers . This area is also where the 1849 gold rush started . I ask that his family & friends please accept these condolences . Be proud of what he was preparing himself for . As a young soldier he was training to help in bringing about the downfall of the worst evil known to man during that time . Hopefully the PGR will get to show him the honor that he deserves . May God allow all of you some comfort from these words .
