I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero who stood tall for his homeland in this very sad time in your lives, but remember that you knew a hero first hand while the rest of us just get to hear about their heroic deeds. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a dept that can never be repaid. But please know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. Know that it says in the Bible in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 , we are confident I say , willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the LORD. No one can ever say that your loved one isn't a HERO, they were willing to serve that the rest of us may enjoy the freedom we do today, and the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my comrade, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest. May GOD Bless each and everyone of you.

Nanette, Jimbo's wife, works with Ida at Kohl's. Since we met, she has heard of the Patriot Guard. In this dark time of her life, she asked that I contact Bob Woods and arrange a Mission of Respect for James (Jimbo) Zimmerman. I learned a bit about him, which is why I am pleased that I will be able to attend this Mission. He was on the Agent Orange "Cleanup Crew", which, by name alone sounds terrible. He was hospitalized in 1971, currently serving our country. They re-enlisted him then immediately gave him a Medical Retirement. He has undergone many medical procedures since that date, including a kidney transplant. He spent the rest of his life fighting. He fought to the end. He gave up only when they wanted his hand and foot, wanting to "go out" with 10 and 10. He didn't have to work after that, but surely paid an aweful price for our country, which dragged on, year after year. He was blessed with a son, now 18, and a wonderful person named Nanette (Ida calls her "Nan"). I learned that Jimbo has not regretted his service to our country, but quite to the contrary, was very proud of it. He lived proud to be a United States Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. Although his service caused him doctor's appointments and frequent hospital stays the rest of his life. He surely paid a long, agonizing price, still being collected, long after his service. I can only hear pride and happiness when Nan speaks of her husband. He would not want us to be sad, but party for him, he was that kinda guy. He wished to be in his rightly earned resting place of Arlington National Cemetery, where Heroes lay. The PGR has been invited in both this Memorial and the one at ANC. As Bob Woods has stated, dress warmly, it will be very cold. I can promise you though, your heart will be warm. Come stand with us, in honor of a true American Hero. Hope to once again see some familiar faces, and as always, looking forward to meeting new ones. Be safe, be careful, bring your flag, and stand with us. I am assured we have warmth awaiting us. Rt. 6 through Huron will bring you right to the junction of Main St., the Funeral Home is across the street from the Huron Fire Department. Thanks to Roger for the setting up for this Mission of Respect.

Enjoy your life and freedoms, for a most costly price is being paid for them. Support those that pay that price, and sacrifice, FOR US.

SGT (ret) James M. Zimmerman, Thank you for you service and for defending my flag. May you now rest in god's full glory.

Stand proud my soldier

For my armed forces I proudly stand, thankful for their sacrifice flag in hand.
They gave their life so mine could be free, they held the line just for me.
Their lives were given for God and country, not for the glory or for the money.
Their shift was long and their pay was short, they proudly stand now in Gods court.
He smiles upon them and takes their hand, at attention in heaven they proudly stand.
You’ve done your job and I ask you in, at ease my soldier you’re now among friends.
Here above you can watch and see, that old glory still fly’s and your country is free.
So many like you are here and their lives they gave, so their family’s can be free and your flag can wave.
There is a flag draped coffin just for you, the colors upon it are red, white, and blue.
For awhile your family may take it hard, but for you and for them stand the Patriot Guard.
