My deepest sympathy to the family of Staff Sgt. Mark A. Wall.  I appreciate all of his contributions to our country and may there be a special place for him in heaven.

Being an Iowa native myself, it saddens me to learn of Sgt. Wall's passing. Not sure if I will be able to attend, but will definitely be there in spirit. My deepest condolences to the family.

I have started the wheels rolling but it's going to be a little hard this time. Yesterday, we lost one of our own from the Harvest Riders. He was a close friend and a true supporter of the PGR. Unfortunately he never formally joined the PGR due to his cancer. Rod Colglazier was on many rides with us. Please keep your passenger pegs down so Rod can ride with us in spirit.

Also, The Wall family has requested that their privacy be respected at this time.

We cannot do enough for our military men and women! If were not for them through the grace of God we would not have what we have today!
When one of these brave protectors of our freedom falls we need to show our utmost respect!
I am ready to show my respect for any and all that I can.
I am next door in Iowa Falls and plan to be there when needed!

We are in the coorindation phase. Once the initial contacts have been made, the mission information will be released. The statement that the family requests their privacy comes directly from the Military Public Affairs office. We work directly with the military, local LEO's, and the family for permission to attend. Our process is step by step as to not put undo hardship on the family. We will be on standby alert untill the final go.

Mission is a go

Just received this from the family

We have just found out from the Hardin County Sheriff that the Kansas protest group has been granted a permit to demonstrate at our son's funeral. We respect the situation you may be in at the loss of your close friend, but should it be possible for some of your group to attend we would be honored and grateful.

Mark's services are at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 6 in Alden

Thanks

Helen & Art Wall

There is a possibility that the 471st AG Company from Ft Dodge may attend and/or join the PGR. I am a soldier in the 471st and we are trying to work it out that either my wife and I are released from drill to attend or possibly the whole unit may attend as part of our drill weekend.

My brother Mike and I will be there to show respect and honor for Sgt. Wall and his family.  My brother lost his son, my nephew to Iraq, Thanksgiving of 2005.  We feel the need to show respect for Sgt. Wall and his family. We also feel compelled to shield the family from any "protesters".  We have attended missions in MI, IL, IN and WI.  Proud and sad to add IA to the list.  God bless Sgt. Mark A. Wall and his family.
