I am honored to say that Tom was a friend and comrade. My family and I will miss him. We mourn with Carol and their two boys. He was so close to finishing his degree, he was looking forward to retirement, and the future. Please dear God, bless his children and Carol and thank you for the privilege of knowing this fine man.

To my fellow PGR: If anyone hears the details of Tom's ride, please, please, please contact me at myti3@yahoo.com I live in the D.C. area, so I may not be able to make it if it is MO, but his mother was quoted in the Neosho, MO paper saying Tom wanted to buried at Arlington, so, if it is here...

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero who stood tall for his homeland in this very sad time in your lives, but remember that you knew a hero first hand while the rest of us just get to hear about their heroic deeds. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a dept that can never be repaid. But please know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. Know that it says in the Bible in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 , we are confident I say , willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the LORD. No one can ever say that your loved one isn't a HERO, they were willing to serve that the rest of us may enjoy the freedom we do today, and the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my comrade, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest. May GOD Bless each and everyone of you.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Thomas A. Crowell. A true American Hero and brother in arms.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
