1. "Drink" from the "everlasting cup" every day.
2. "Steal" a moment to help someone that is in worse shape than you are.
3. "Swear" that you will be a better person today than yesterday.
4. And last, but not least, when you "lie" down at night, thank God.

Day is done. Gone the sun. From the lakes.
From the hills. From the sky.
All is well. Safely rest. God is nigh.

Fading light. Dims the sight.
And a star. Gems the sky. Gleaming bright.
From afar. Drawing nigh. Falls the night.

Thanks and praise. For our days.
Neath the sun Neath the stars. Neath the sky.
As we go. This we know. God is nigh

When our nation is in conflict,
We find the warrior's part
Is to correct the troubles
That the politicians start.
I never had the honor
While in Alabama to share my praise,
But this Patriot Guard Rider, Wing, will pay homage
At the ending of GySGT Herman J. Murkerson, Jr. days.
Expecting to read a simple headline
in our local paper that would say:
"WE MOURN FOR OUR WARRIOR,
GySGT HERMAN J. MURKERSON Jr. SACRIFICED ALL TODAY."

Straight to heaven....
"There is no greater love", say the Lord, "than to lay down your life for a friend".
Thank you and God Bless you, GySgt Murkerson, for being willing to do just that.... for me and mine.

My thanks to GySgt Murkerson for his sacrifice.  My prayers for his family and friends.

I plan to be there (at least) Sunday for this hero.

[For those unfamiliar with the Birmingham area, exit 6 is west of I-65.  I don't know if the Winn Dixie selected for the staging is clearly visible from I-459.  But, in case it is not, it may help to know that exit 6 is a diamond interchange (straight ramps - no loops) and that Winn Dixie is on the southwest side of the interchange.]
