Another Mother asked President Truman, "Why did my Child have to die in Korea?" Another Mother asked President F.D. Roosevelt,"Why did my Child have to die at Iwo Jima ?" Another Mother asked President W. Wilson, "Why did my Child have to die on the battlefield of France ?" Yet another Mother asked President Lincoln,"Why did my Child have to die at Gettysburg ?" Long, long ago a Mother (Mary) asked, "Heavenly Father, why did my Child have to die on a cross outside Jerusalim?" All the answers are so near the same. Lord, please comfort and grant your peace that surpasses all human understanding to the family and friends of Sgt. John Mele. Amen. This brave young man answered the call of his country and his sacrifice will not be forgotten. Take heart in that there are many Americans, many who have never met him, honoring Sgt. Mele for his courage and his service to this nation. There are also many Americans, and again many who do not know John or your family, praying for you right now. Call upon the Lord and He will strengthen you during this time of great loss. 1 Samuel 7:5...I will pray for you unto the Lord.
