I just spoke with David Hall this morning @ 0610. They are on schedule to leave Little Rock Airport Holiday Inn Express @ 0700. I will meet them with other bikers at exit 271 in Lehi AR @ 0830. Anyone else wanting to meet us there is welcome. The Texas contingent is returning home from there this morning and AR riders will be joining David for their trip through the remainder of AR, and on into TN.
Thanks to all who have taken part in this mission and all of those who will be assisting in the next few days.

********************0745 CDT UPDATE************************
Received call from Phyllis Hall advising the procession had departed at 0700 CDT. Although these times are somewhat fluid due to the unknown number of stops that will be required, here is their planned itinerary for the day:
Arriving Memphis, TN - 0900-0930. Arriving Jackson, TN - 1100 Arriving Nashville, TN - 1300 Arriving Knoxville, TN - 1830 Arriving Bristol, VA - 2100
Upon arriving in Bristol, they will make a determination as to whether to continue up I-81 or stop for the evening. This will be dependant on the number of bikes that are in the escort and how everyone feels at that time.
I believe she stated they currently have 10 bikes escorting them and generally have 3-4 in front with the remainder in the rear. Again, as we've said many times before, if you have plans to join the procession somewhere along the route, please exercise extreme caution as you fall into line, ensuring those there know of your intentions.
Phyllis will call with another update somewhere around the Nashville area. If times/information change from what is listed here, I will post the updates. Respects, Joe |

Update Just talked with Phyllis @ Mile 30 in TN heading toward Jackson. Time in Nashville 1:30PM - 2:00PM depending on fuel time in Jackson. They will be stopping at the Cracker Barrel on Charlotte Pike for lunch. That is around exit # 198 on I-40. Should be departing around 2:15-2:30 coming through Nashville. I will have my cage with them until probably Cookville depending on number of bikes running.

OK, I just got back from Jackson,TN where we left David, Phyllis and the bell. We made it from AR mile marker 271 to Jackson with six bikes. Just over 100 miles. The others from AR returned after coming part way into TN, and we thank them for their support.
A little disapointing though that there was no-one in Jackson to assist with the leg from there on to Nashville. Oh well, maybe they were a little further up the road, who knows? Anyways, thanks to everyone that made this a huge success throughout AR and TN.
If you want to get caught up in your emotions, just get David to allow you to ring that bell. Wow, what a blessing that was, and to see the trailer with the Ten Commandmants mounted on either side brought tears to my eyes as I thanked God for our freedoms and our country. Hope all goes well for the remainder of the journey. |

Just spoke with Phyllis and Annette. The Liberty Bell is back on the road in the Nashville, TN area. Due to the heavy traffic on I-40/440 from the Titans ball game, they are traveling Highway 155 (Briley Parkway) around Nashville and will get back on I-40E at Donaldson Parkway/Airport exit.
They are currently running about ONE HOUR BEHIND their planned schedule of this morning. That, too, could increase depending on the length of time it takes to navigate Nashville and Knoxville, when they arrive there.
She will be back in touch with me as they are exiting the Knoxville area to give me a better idea of how far they intend to drive today. They are still hopeful to make it to Bristol, VA. As she says, if they are traveling without escort after dark, they may try to keep going till midnight, depending on how they both feel, which should put them on the route to Roanoke. She will let me know what their final decision is however.
Please note that this, and future postings, will be reflected in EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME as opposed to Central Time.
Please continue monitoring this thread for further updates. Respects, Joe |

Received call from David Hall stating Liberty Bell has arrived in Knoxville, TN. They are preparing to say goodbye to those who have been escorting and then proceed on to Bristol, VA. He indicates that due to the length of time required to make that leg of the journey, they will most like spend the night in Bristol. ETA should be somewhere around 1130 EDT.
Once they've obtained their motel for the night, they will contact Annette Robeck, TN SC, and she will post their location and morning departure time on this thread.
Please continue monitoring for updated information. All who are able to pick them up in the morning are encouraged to do so.
Thank you to all who have participated in this mission up to this point, and to those that will continue to lead them on their journey to West Virginia. Respects, Joe |

Annettee, This is Joan, I can still come in the am but I will need to know of a place that I can meet David Hall or maybe he can call me on my cell- 540-580-9520 and we can set up a meeting place- It takes about 2 1/2 to 3 hr to get to Bristol from here and I don't want to be going South and miss them going North as someplaces you cannot see the other side. There is a huge truck stop on the rt side of I-81 going N. a little ways up in Va- it is either Petrol or Flying J They change names around here sometimes but the only really big one- I could be there if they wantedor I can come on to Bristol if they will wait for me at motel once we find out which one they are in. Is anyone from your group meeting to escort part way into VA?
Thanks for all your help, Joan |

Well, due to the traffic of the Titans game, we were a little late getting the bell out of Nashville. After waiting around for 30 minutes and no slack in the traffic it was decided to go around the city. Several traffic lights and two lane back streets we got on the road east. Left the bell at Rockwood TN in the care of the East TN group. If you can't ride on the escort, make it a point to go by and meet David and Phyllis, watch their DVD, listen to their stories and be sure to RING THE BELL. Guar-on-tee after listening to David then ringing the bell, you won't have a dry eye as the bell tolls for the veterans gone to that final rest.
Thanks to all who joined us in Nashville: JJ & BB, Jack, Susan, Pam and Redtag. SportyPig was to meet us but due to the delay, missed the rolling contact.
Duane, give me a call Monday, please.
All ride safe,

*****URGENT UPDATE!!*******1300 EDT UPDATE*******URGENT UPDATE!!*****
CHANGE IN MONDAY'S ITINERARY!!!!
Just spoke with Phyllis Hall a few minutes ago. The Liberty Bell is still South of Roanoke, VA on I-81N. Due to numerous stops today and lengthy periods at those stops, they have decided to CANCEL THEIR PLANNED TRIP TO WASHINGTON, DC. They do not feel they would have an adequate amount of time to spend in Washington, now, so they will be continuing their journey on I-81N.
They will be stopping at a Cracker Barrell Restaurant off I-81 just North of Roanoke, although she does not recall the precise location.
When they leave there, they will continue up I-81N, through Martinsburg, WV to Chambersburg, PA where they will pick up Route 30E and proceed into Gettysburg. Their present plans are to spend the night there and use tomorrow (Tuesday) as a day of rest to tour the Gettysburg area. It is my understanding, although I will confirm with her the next time I speak with them, to travel from Gettysburg into Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday.
The remainder of the itinerary remains unchanged at this time. I apologize for the changes that have been made and appreciate all who have expressed interest in meeting them along their journey. According to Phyllis, time permitting they MAY proceed to Washington, DC at the conclusion of the mission for Mr. Buckles on Saturday.
I will attempt to keep all informed of their location as they journey to Gettysburg, in the event some members care to meet them along the way.
Thank you, again, for all that you have done and continue to do. Respects, Joe |

Hi all, I just left David and Phyliss outside of Roanoke after a great ride from Bristol- we stopped at the Wal-Mart in Wytheville and maypeople came to see and ring he bell!
It was a great trip and an awesome feeling to see and ring this beautiful bell!!!! I am sorry no one was here in Roanoke that could finish the escort up the valley But Monday is a hard day for many.
I am very proud to represent the PGR with my flags flying as I escorted the "Bell" along I-81.
David and Phyllis and their two nephews were a delight to meet and visit with. Everyone ride safely the rest of the way and all my best to our WW1 Soldier being honored!!
