| This is the kind of news that everyone does not want to have to hear.....I was never fortunate enough to meet Greg, however, the overflow of voices echoing throughout the many corridors of the PGR for our fallen Brother signifies his selfless dedication to his Family, Friends and many PGR Brothers and Sisters. All of us here in southern Indiana offer our most sincere condolences and prayers to the Family and Friends that Greg has left behind by his untimely passing. May the Almighty be with you and ease your pain and loss. May Greg RIP.......Semper Fi>>>>>>GI Joe |

I received this poem from a friend when my mother passed away. I too would like to pass this on to the family and friends of Greg
LIVE YOUR DASH I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on his tombstone from the beginning... to the end He noted that first came his date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears. But he said what mattered most of all... was the "dash" between those years.
For that dash represents all the time he spent alive on Earth... And now only those who loved him...know what that little line is worth..
for it matters not, how much we own; the cars...the house... the cash. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our "dash".
So think about this long and hard...Are there things you'd like to change? For you never know how much time is left, that can still be rearranged. If we could slow down enough to consider what's true and real, and always try to understand the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger, and show appreciation more, and love the people in our lives, like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect, and more often wear a smile... Remembering that this special "dash" might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy is being read with your life's actions to rehash...
Would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?
In loving memory of Greg We will miss you

I didn't know Greg, but by the messages that have been posted by those that did know him, he leaves a great legacy of selflessness, great spirit, and love of country and of those that defend Her.
My Heartfelt condolences go out to His Family, Friends, and the PGR of Illinois. My thoughts are with you as we mourn this great and tragic loss and take comfort in the legacy he leaves, the hearts he touched and the difference he has made in the lives of us all.
Thanks Greg, your Spirit shall live on in us all.
