I would like convey my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this American hero who stood tall for their homeland. I know this is a very sad time in your lives but remember you knew a hero first hand the rest of us just get to hear about them. Please know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our Lord and Savior in heaven and the Lord said if I go to prepare a place for you,and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. Know that it says in the Bible in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 ,We are confident I say, willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. No one can ever say that your loved one isn't a hero they were willing to serve when so many aren't or feel that they don't want to. I would like you to know that not just me but a country full of Americans are free because of the sacrifice they made in the name of freedom. May God Bless each and everyone of you

On Monday night, October 8th, 7 Patriot Guard Riders from Maryland and Virginia came together to honor the Memory of SGT Donald C. Trent and to let his family know we came to thank him and them for the Sacrifice from a different conflict.
SGT Trent's sister, Harriett, Willis to her friends, who was nine at the time of his passing, and his brother Reginald came to find peace in their time and close a door. Tomorrow another thread will be woven into the fabric of a place the Patriot Guard Riders have come to hold dear, Arlington National Cemetery. As Brad Winchester said in December of last year, we come to pay our respects.

A very honorable mission yesterday, honoring the service and sacrifice of Sgt Trent.  A fitting tribute by PGR members, including 5 from West Virginia and two from Youngstown, OH, who travelled to pay their respects to Donald and his family.

Having had the opportunity to speak to Donald's sister, Harriet, at the conclusion of graveside services, this just reinforces my knowledge that what we are doing IS the right thing to do, no matter how much time passes.

Excellent job Kevin and the rest of the ANC team.  As I stated, if we can be of assistance in future missions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.

Welcome Home Donald!  May you now find eternal rest and your family find peace in knowing you have returned to your Homeland.  Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
Respects,
Joe

After 57 years the family of Sgt. Donald C. Trent, USA, Crab Orchard, WV, were finally able to bring him home to the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery. To Sgt. Trent we would like to give our thanks and gratitude for your sacrifice and welcome you home. Although it took some time, you were never forgotten and always close to the heart of a grateful nation.

We thank your family for allowing us to stand for you showing our sincere respect. It was an honor to take part in the celebration of your life.

To all of the Patriot Guard who came from many states to honor this man and his family, it was an honor to stand with you. Thanks to the riders from West Virginia who rode to stand in honor and entrusted the continuation of services to our care. We would not be able to do anything without you. And finally to the Patriot Guard who could not make it but took a moment out of your day to honor this hero. This organization would not be what it is today without you.

Thank you.
