Another Day... Another Battle... Another Brave Defender has shown COURAGE and CHARACTER! This HERO has given hopes, has given dreams, has given All!

SSgt. David Kuehl, you have given far more than I have and you have sacrificed much more than I have. In your Brave stand you have given everything that you have and that you are! I THANK YOU!! I THANK YOUR FAMILY!!

Today as the dawn turns to dusk, the bugle will sound and the cannon will fire! The flag will be lowered to honor your sacrifice!

I will raise my right hand to meet the corner of my brow and I will stand ever so quietly, thanking you with all that I have to offer at that single monumental moment in time...I WILL SALUTE! I WILL REMEMBER YOU TODAY!

I WILL NOT FORGET WHAT YOU HAVE GIVEN FOR YOUR COUNTRY!! I WISH YOU WELL!

I was downtown in Wahpeton yesterday as the Patriot Guard riders escorted another hero home. First, allow me to say that although I never met David Kuehl, there is a brotherhood amongst those of us that have worn the uniform of the US military. One of my brothers has fallen, and I am saddened. As someone before me stated, the bugle will sound and the cannon will fire, but I raise my hand to my brow and salute you David, as well as your family. Secondly, to the riders of the Patriot Guard, thank you. I have seen you guys in the news and read your website. But to see in person the pride you have in escorting our fallen was awe-inspiring. Thank you for what you do. If I can ever be of any assistance in the Whap-Breck area...please let me know.

Without the will to fight for it, freedom is a fleeting dream.

Thank you, SSgt Kuehl, for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To David's family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son was killed last year in Iraq. I pray happy memories of your dear warrior will help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. David will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

"Rain isn't any wetter than tears." Although the temperature was pleasant, we spent a rainy day in Wahpeton, but our clothes will dry a lot faster than a family's tears. It was a privilege to join the ND PGR in their flag line to honor SSgt. David Kuehl.

Here is a picture link of today's mission.
