Another Day... Another Battle... Another Brave Defender has shown COURAGE and CHARACTER! This HERO has given hopes, has given dreams, has given All!

Sgt. Baum, you have given far more than I have and you have sacrificed much more than I have. In your Brave stand you have given everything that you have and that you are! I THANK YOU!! I THANK YOUR FAMILY!!

Today as the dawn turns to dusk, the bugle will sound and the cannon will fire! The flag will be lowered to honor your sacrifice!

I will raise my right hand to meet the corner of my brow and I will stand ever so quietly, thanking you with all that I have to offer at that single monumental moment in time...I WILL SALUTE! I WILL REMEMBER YOU TODAY!

I WILL NOT FORGET WHAT YOU HAVE GIVEN FOR YOUR COUNTRY!! I WISH YOU WELL!

Still no information to give. I have to go to work tomorrow. If the call comes in tonight or early tomorrow, I will post the info before I go to work. If I get the call later, I will be calling Kristen, and as always, she has my permission to post the update for me.  Everybody be safe, and do what you can.

Sgt Baum, I thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Know that a Brother soldier mourns your loss but celebrates your life and your gain. Your path here is done, mission completed but the next mission is yet ahead and it is for you to lead us on that new path. Though you are gone from us we shall see you again. Do not worry about your family and friends for they are comforted by Our Father Creator and are honored by us all. Walk in Peace Brother Baum.

Thank you, Sgt Baum, for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation, we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To Ryan's family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son was killed last year in Iraq. I hope wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Ryan will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

To the family and friends of Sgt. Ryan Baum go my sincere and heartfelt condolences. Words cannot express my sorrow for your loss. Your loss is not taken lightly, nor was it in vain.

For the mission today, if the timing is right I'll be there. I have another volunteer obligation this afternoon. Standing by for funeral information - will attend if at all possible.

Where will we be staging? Will there be a map or directions at least from C/Springs to the staging location?

Standing by for times, too.

We don't have any information as we speak, no flight times, airline, etc, so staging area and/or times have not even been determined.

There is a possiblility that our fallen hero will not be coming in on the normal carriers, which would change our staging locale from the normal fire station location.

Stand by for further information as it becomes available.
