My deepest condolences to the Spencer family and may God bless them and stand by them. Pvt. Cole E. Spencer has given the greatest sacrifice, his life for his country, he was willing to sacrifice everything for others oppressed in a foreign land and to insure that WE are able to enjoy the freedoms that this country grants us and that most take for granted. His mission is completed and he will be honored and remembered.

It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us. It means if we meet again, you will know me. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart. For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost. Fredrick Buechner

Thank you, Pvt Spencer, for your service and sacrifice. As a nation we mourn your loss, and as a nation we will remember you always as a true American hero. To Cole's family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are dealing with-my son was killed last year in Iraq. I am saddened by the loss of another young, American life. My thoughts, prayers, and sincere condolences to the family and friends of Spec. Cole Spencer. My heartfelt gratitude to this American hero for answering the call when his country needed him. I will always hold in the highest regard those American men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and to those who are still in harms way.

These words will not fill the emptiness felt by the loss of Spec. Spencer but serves as a reminder that the people of this great nation care and also feel this loss.

May God bless Cole and keep him by his side. I will do my best to be there to escort and honor this American hero to his final resting place.

Standing by in Sullivan, MO.
