| Still standing by in Sanborn, anyone in NW Iowa that is thinking about riding, let me know, maybe we can hook-up somewhere and ride together as this will be my first mission. Hopefully work schedule will allow me to attend. Prayers for peace go out to the Seskers. |

Danny was a really great guy. He will truly be missed. As of now the family is still waiting to here when Danny's body will arrive. Rumors have been that his funeral will be Saturday at the Ogden High School, that has NOT been confirmed by the family. Carson Funeral Home in Ogden are handleing the arrangements. His cousin is my wifes sister-in-law. I will be sure to reply as soon as we know the details. His 3 buddy's he enlisted with and went to Kosovo and Iraq are in the process of heading home to the states also. Danny's 23 birthday would have been April 15th, he was also preparing to be a first time father. Sgt Phil Gift 1034th CSSB |

TOMMYE, If this actually happens on Saturday I will definately be riding. Where would you like to hook-up for the ride? Will not make a bit of difference to me. Ogden looks to be about a 3 hour ride to me, will be up with the chickens if this is a morning mission. |

Otter, I have reviewed all the posts, and it doesn't seem like the State Capt has acknowledged this thread........maybe sending a quick e-mail to him, and directing him to this thread would be a good idea.....

All in Western Iowa (near Denison),
There is a strong chance that if this ride DOES happen this Saturday (which is not close to being confirmed yet), is there someone near Denison who could call my cell phone early enough for me to participate? There is a good chance that I'll be on the Goldwing this weekend on the outskirts of Denison. I would definitely want to go on Saturday if this ride goes.
I won't have full-time access to email (dialup only there), so if anyone would be able to call me, please email me and I'll give you my cell number. Would also love to meet up with someone and ride as part of a group to the event.
This would be my first mission, so would appreciate some company.
Thanks.

Would be nice to know when the funeral is and if we have been invited. Even though I'm in Minnesota I'd like to come down and join the mission if the family invites us and if I have a little advance notice so I can put out the word to other riders in my area of Minnesota.

I notice that the Ogden Reporter has an article dated April 12, 2006 which states;
"Services for Spc. Daniel Sesker are Tuesday, April 18 at 10 a.m. at the Ogden High School gym with Chaplain William Klavetter officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the high school gym.
Burial will be private.
Carson Funeral Home of Ogden is in charge of arrangements."
I am sure the Iowa State Captain will be following up with info regarding a go or no go on a mission.

Funeral services are set for an Ogden native who was killed on April 6 by a roadside bomb in Iraq.
Sgt. Daniel L. Sesker, 22, was assigned to the Iowa Army National Guard’s Troop C, 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry in LeMars, Iowa.
The visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on April 17 at the Ogden High School gymnasium at 732 W. Division St. in Ogden.
A funeral service, with military honors, will take place at 10 a.m. on April 18 at the Ogden High School gymnasium, a news release said.
Sesker will be interred at Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone in a private ceremony.
Sesker enlisted as a Cavalry Scout in Troop B, 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry in August 2000.
He was deployed to Kosovo in 2003 as part of Operation Joint Guardian. In July 2005, he was originally a member of Troop B, 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry, and volunteered to be attached to Troop C, 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry in LeMars for Operation Iraqi Freedom, a news release said.
In Iraq, he served as a gunner in the Task Force 49th Military Police Battalion Personnel Security Detachment. Between the Kosovo and Iraq tours of duty, Sesker worked as a counselor at the Woodward Academy and as a part-time police officer in Gowrie, Iowa.
He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and the Combat Action Badge.

The best I can tell is that as of yet PGR has not been invited to attend Daniel Sesker's funeral. There hasn't been any posts by Keith Calloway, who is the Iowa State Captian, or any other PGR official. This is not a mission yet. Al |
