| Sgt McDonald, we as a nation mourn your loss; we thank you for your service and sacrifice in order to defend our country's freedoms. You will be remembered always as a true American hero. To Edmund's family, I offer my prayers and support. I know a little of what you are going through-my son was killed last year in Iraq. I hope wonderful memories of your dear Edmund will bring you some comfort as time passes. Edmund will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve.
