Our sincere condolences to all those who mourn the passing of Sgt. Allen. His sacrifice will not go unrecognized.

Those heroes who make the ultimate sacrifice do not pass on alone. They are carried from the fields of battle by the Valkyr to Valhall. Here they will live on with all those who have gone on before to await the final and ultimate battle, Ragnarök.

Thank you, Sgt Allen, for you courageous and heroic sacrifice. You will be remembered always with respect and gratitude by our deeply indebted nation. To Chad's family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand your grief-I lost my son in Al Anbar last March. I hope you take comfort and pride in the fact your Chad was an honorable young man, willing to do for his country what so many will not. I hope the happy memories you have of Chad will help eventually ease the pain you endure today. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom
