| Please continue condolences to the family, they are referred to this site when we offer services to them. Be patient also, there are several tough decisions to make, those type decisions none of us ever want to make. They will feel the love and respect America has for them, and know that Sgt. Maj. Ellis has touched many lives, one life in particular that I spoke to recently. In his words, "He was my mentor, he helped shape my career in the Marine Corps" He will not be forgotten, ever. |

Enjoy your life and freedoms, for a most costly price is being paid for them. Support those that pay that price, and sacrifice, FOR US. |

Respect for the military has sometimes been lost. This should not happen again....ever.
The hero is one who kindles a great light in the world, who sets up blazing torches in the dark streets of life for men to see by.

Dear God, by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest, look kindly on this fallen Marine who gave his life in the line of duty and in the service of his country and his Corps. Grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus Christ, he may share in the joy of Your heavenly kingdom and rejoice in your presence forever. - In Jesus name, Amen

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Sergeant Major Ellis. Like Joe, I was a hometown boy myself who went off to serve my country in the Corps, only I made it home. Each loss cuts into our hearts but a hometown loss cuts especially deep. I know that no words can ease your sorrow but know that you do not mourn alone. There are many of us who not only thank Sgt. Maj. Ellis for his service to our country, and for taking a stand to make a difference in this world, but we thank you for standing by him through thick and thin. It was your love and support that helped him through tough times. Now it is our turn to be there for you in your time of need if you choose to call upon us. Either way, you have our deepest respect and heart-felt sympathy. Semper Fi Steve Williams GySgt USMC 1978 - 1998 |
