There is a port of no return, where ships

May ride at anchor for a little space

And then, some starless night, the cable slips,

Leaving an eddy at the mooring place . . .

Gulls, veer no longer. Sailor, rest your oar.

No tangled wreckage will be washed ashore.

Our grandson served on the Bon Homme Richard when it was stationed in the gulf. One can get a false sense of security thinking your loved ones are safe when they are on a ship during a land war, but as this tragedy shows, all of our service personel are always at risk.

Condolances to the family of Petty Officer Helman.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord... Psalms 33:12 ESV

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7 ESV

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G.I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom

Cory, you are indeed a hero in everyones eyes, and will not be forgotten. "Vets never forget"! Neither will this nation, for your selfless devotion to duty. Hugs From Heaven

When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From your loved one way up high.

If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
They've added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose.

If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From your someone special up above.

If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird's chirping song
It's music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long.

If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It's a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace.

So keep the joy in your heart
If you're lonely my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend.
Thank you for making the ultimate sacrifice for my family and our counrty. You will not be forgotten. God bless you and your family
