It's hard enough to bury those who give there life for freedom, but it seems even harder to have to bury those who have been willing to stand by your side, ride the miles, edure the elements, and shed the tears for those heroes whom we bury together from war. Thank you for your willingness to defend the United States of America and her freedoms and interests. Your untimely death brings much sorrow and sadness to the hearts and lives of your family, friends, military brothers and sisters, each and every member of the Patriot Guard Riders, and all who truly appreciate their freedom. We are proud of your service and dedication in that which you believed in and fought for. Your mission is complete. You are truly an American hero and the world in which we live is a safer place because of your commitment to freedom. We will now proudly stand for you with honor, dignity, and respect. We pray that you will now rest peacefully in the arms of God. May He provide peace, comfort, and understanding to each life you touched.

bump for update

==============================

When a mans heart is full of deceit it burns up, dies and a dark shadow falls over his soul. From the ashes of a once great man has risen a curse, a wrong that must be righted. We look to the skies for a vindicator, someone to strike fear into the black hearts of the same men who created him. The battle between good and evil has begun. Against an army of shadows comes the Dark Warrior, the purveyor of good, with a voice of silence and a mission of justice. - Steve "Sting" Borden

Attention Mankato Sector:

We will not stage anywhere except at the final staging area: Our Saviours Lutheran Church, 1207 Prairie Ave, Faribault, MN at 1200 hours.

Harry was a fellow sector member and very easily could have stood next to anyone of you on the flag line. Let's show our respect to his family for his long service to our country and also our respect to a fellow Patriot Guard Riders member and his standing guard on the flag line at other brothers and sisters in military services funerals.

See you Saturday.

Rochester & SE MN Riders, here is the final itinerary for Saturdays mission:

* Rochester Area Riders: Since this is not a KIA mission, we are responsible for our own transportation. We can car-pool from the Econo Foods Lot in Rochester and pass the hat for gas money for the drivers. This will save fuel and parking spaces at the funeral home.

From the South - traveling on Interstate 35
Take the First exit to Faribault.
Travel North on Co. 48 (Hwy. 21) until the First Stop Light.
Turn Right on Division and travel east on Division Street until the first stop sign.
Turn right on Prairie Avenue and travel south approximately 1 mile to Our Saviours Lutheran Church on the Left Side of the street.

From the East - traveling on Highway 60
Travel west into Faribault at the bottom of the Viaduct Bridge continue west on Division Street until the Fifth stop sign.
Turn left on Prairie Avenue and travel south approximately 1 mile to Our Saviours Lutheran Church on the Left Side of the street.

1020 – Preliminary Staging at Northwest Plaza at the former Econo Foods Lot, Rochester, MN

1040 – Pre–Mission Briefing

1050 – Ride to Faribault. We will travel west on Hwy 14 to I-35 North into Faribault, MN

1200 - Final Staging, Our Saviours Lutheran Church, 1207 Prairie Lane, Faribault, MN

1230 - Pre-Mission Briefing

1240 - Ride to The Boldt Funeral Home, 300 Prairie Ave, Faribault, MN

1245 - Assemble on Flag Lines at the 2 entrances to Funeral Home.

1255 - Family Arrives

1300 - Visitation Begins

1400 - Memorial Service Commences

1500 est. - Memorial Service is over and family departs. At that time we will break the flag line, but only after the family leaves.

1510 est. - Those interested may join us at the VFW, 422 NW 1st Ave, Faribault, MN for conversation and refreshments.

The funeral home will provide an area inside for members of the flag line to warm up.

Depending upon the weather and your personal choice we will ride our scoots or "cage" it. The current weather forecast is 40 degrees for Saturday. In no way should anyone ride in near freezing temperatures without the proper cold weather gear or if any snow and/or ice is present. No one will care of you "cage" it. Your safety should be your primary concern. I don't want to plan a second mission because someone gets hurt because they rode to this mission.

Bring a 3x5 foot flag and pole, dress appropriately for the weather (we will be outdoors for 3 hours),bring water and food if necessary. We must be self-sufficient.

Be flexible as things change, work with it. And if you have a question, ask a ride captain.

Be sure to bring plenty of water, something to eat, and appropriate riding gear for the weather forecast.

Please feel free to e-mail or call me with any questions!

Our sincere condolences to all those who mourn the passing of our brother. I'm sure he will be missed. I regret that we will be unavailable for this mission. For those who will be in attendence, please know that we are there in spirit.
