Itinerary for the Dec 8th viewing and the Dec 9th funeral.
Dec 8th Amundson Funeral home. 2975 S 42st in Grand Forks. Directions from Interstate 29. Take the 32nd Ave exit. Head east and get in the left lane right away. Turn left at 38th st. (Super Pumper gas station). Just follow the curve that will be 42 St. The funeral home is a short distance from the Nodak Electrical Bldg and storage Bldg. When pulling in to the Funeral home turn right and park in the very back lot. Viewing is from 5-7pm. We will start staging at 4:00pm. Look for the black Ford 4x4 with the mounted flags. I will have my truck on the south side, towards the front. A brief meeting at 4:30pm. We will form an honor line in the front of the funeral home by 4:45pm.
Dec 9th Funeral at Valley Christian Center. 3920 Cherry Street in Grand Forks. Directions from Interstate 29. Take the same 32 Ave exit. Follow 32nd Ave about 2.3/2.5 miles. Turn right on Cherry street. Take Cherry Street down to 40th ave. Another route is 32nd Ave and turn right on South Washington, go until you get to 40th Ave and turn left. The chruch is on the corner of Cherry and 40th. Please park in the very back of the parking lot/ parking is also available on the street.Staging time is 10:30am.Brief meeting at 11:15 am. Form honor line at 11:30am at the entrance of the chruch. Service is at 1:00pm. Will last about one hour. We will form the honor line again prior to the end of the service. We will escort to Memorial Park South Cemetery. 3002 Washington Street South. You will pass this on your way to the Chruch on 32 Ave South. It will be on the left side. I would like most of the members to head to the cemetery after the service before the procession. Please form an honor line at the burial site.To get to the cemetery from the chruch, get back on Cherry street until 32Ave South. Take a right on South Washington Street and get the the left lane right away and and turn into the cemetery lot. Please park a distance from the site to allow family/friends close parking.
Remember dress warm and bring your 3'X5' flags.

Curiousity killed the cat, but for a while, I was a suspect. If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it doesn't, hunt it down and kill it. Silence is Golden. Duct tape is Silver. Just remember, if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off. Unfortunately, seizing the day. |

Our Prayers and thought are with Chris and his family. North Dakota has proudly added the name of another hero to its list of fallen warriors. Words cannot express the feelings of sorrow and gratitude we have for the sacrifice that he has made to keep our country free and democratic. The United States was born with efforts of those men and women who believed in the freedoms of religion, speech and a personal vision for individual life. Chris gave his life to continue that mission, and our mission will be to honor and cherish his dream by keeping his patriotic passion in our hearts.
We may give the final salute for Chris as he departs this worldly domain, but certainly will have the opportunity to thank him in person some day. Rest In Peace Hero...you have earned your reward.
