We are each just a pixel in the "Big Picture". Together we bring it into focus. Hopefully the image we create will leave a positive and lasting impression on each Family and Community that we have the honor of serving.

I have Doctor's appointments Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. But Thursday and Friday is open. Saturday leaving for Perryton, TX for a 2000 mile round trip ride.

Last year I attended another funeral in Smithville. Lt. Matocha, USMC was lost in 1968 and his remains came home to Smithville. The Military Channel did a special on the Lt. - "An Ocean Away". If this funeral is anything like the last one be prepared for a long slow ride to the cemetery. While only maybe 2 klicks away, it took us over an hour to go from the Civic Center (where the funeral was held) to the cemetery. Marine pallbearers carried the casket at a slow march the entire distance. Small town but EVERYONE turned out and either was in the procession or was on the side of the road with flags.

I appreciate all of the "Standing By's"; it give us a tentative head count for the Mission. Our first contact will be through the CAO (Casualty Assistance Office) at Ft. Hood on Monday to obtain approval from the family. In the meantime, the Ride Captains around the Smithville, Bastrop, LaGrange and San Antonio areas should be keeping a close eye on the news media for any announcements. Once we have an a handle on the location for services, I will ask for volunteers for recon. While we are waiting for more information, please pray for the family.
