If I am able to atend, I will have to cage it... fighting bronchitis, and ear infections. Please make sure the final plans are posted asap, as my ability to attend is dependent on work. I am thinking I can break loose for a bit.

Update:
The Airport Escort will not be held tomorrow (Sunday). If things are not changed it will be this coming Tuesday 2/21/06 @ or around 1:33 p.m. Please keep in mind, at this time many things are still subject to change beyond anyones control.
Because of military scheduling, please keep an eye open for updated dates and times in this forum. I will pass on each update I receive ASAP!
Thank you Ladies and Gentleman |

Hello, my name is Debbi McKay, and I live in Knoxville, TN -- I just got off the phone with Jeff and it now appears I'll be the Ride Captian.
If you would call me or e-mail me at debmckay@bellsouth.net my telephone number is 865-673-0298 I'll get you as much information as I have thus far. I will be keeping everyone posted as soon as I find out more information.
So far it looks like we should meet about 12 Noon, let me find somewhat of a central location on this once I find out where everyone is coming from.
We'll get this done, and we'll do it right the first time (although this is my first time, so I am open to suggestions as well).
Looking forward to hearing from ya'll --
Deb McKay
(P.S. my bike is in the shop as well as the ol' man's, so we'll be caging it)

I have decided that the best, and largest, place for us to meet on Tuesday, February 21, 2006, would be at Chilhowee Park, parking lot near the Knoxville Zoo. The time we will meet will be at 12 NOON to depart NLT 12:30 p.m. for the trip to the airport.
When I get more information, I will let you know, and I will post it on the site as well.
Directions: If you will be travelling EAST on I-40, you will need to get off at Exit 392 (Rutledge Pike) exit. Continue straight at the traffic light, follow the Knoxville Zoo signs. When you get where you either go straight into the Zoo parking lot, or whether you turn left into a large parking lot, take the left. Look for a 2005 Dodge Daytona Flame Red truck, that will be me.
If you will be travelling WEST on I-40, you will need to get off at 392, the SECOND exit, the first one being a turn-only lane, you will cross over Rutledge Pike and bear to the right. You will then travel underneath the interstate to a traffic light. Turn RIGHT at that traffic light. Follow the Knoxville Zoo signs. When you get where you either go straight into the Zoo parking lot, or whether you turn left into a large parking lot, take the left.
Look for a 2005 Dodge Daytona Flame Red truck, that will be me.
If you have questions or need to get in touch with me, I can be found at the following numbers.
Home (865) 673-0298 Cell (865) 705-0067 (I will have my cell with me.) |

I have contacted the local chapters of The Shiloh Riders (of which I am a member of), U.S.C.A.V. (United States Citizens Aiding Veterans), Blue Knights, and the Dragon H.O.G. Chapter. To make them aware of this situation. I am awaiting responses from their Presidents and membership to fill them in on the details.

I will probably be caging but I will miss my scoot!!! Weather is going to be kinda cold and that bothers my old bones!!!! See you there at the staging area anyway. It is about a 5 hr ride for me from Va. Not sure if I can stay for funeral- will have to see how things go. Glad to honor our heroes!!! |
