For the family of PFC. Hannah L. Gunterman McKinney:

I can only imagine what you and your family have gone through since being notified of the death of Hannah. I want you to know that you are not alone.  Hearts of families all over the United States are grieving with you and have your family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

LIFE...so fragile.    LOSS... so sudden.    HEART...so broken.

In time, there will come a day when the tears of sorrow

will softly flow into sighs of remembrance. Your heart will begin to heal itself.
Grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy; & you will hear the whisper of hope.
There will come a day when you will welcome the pangs of remembrance

as a sun shower of the soul; a turning of the tide; the promise of peace.
There will come a day when you will risk loving,

go on believing, and treasure the remembering.

Hannah was a very good and brave woman. You have much to be proud of. She has not left you, but has been re-deployed to Heaven. I wish that I could ease your pain and sadness, but it will be a long, slow and painful climb.  Pain this deep will never go entirely away, but I pray that as each day that passes the hurt becomes a little less. And the memories of a lifetime will sustain you. These memories are your keepsake that can never be taken away.  God has Hannah in his keeping, but you have her forever in your thoughts and hearts. We pray that our Savior – in whose presence Hannah now rests – will comfort you and ease the pain of this loss and that your memories of her will shine through the sadness.

There was an article in today's local newspaper about Hannah McKinney (aka: Hannah Gunterman) and her family.

http://www.sbsun.com/ci_4303657

After reading this story, it will became apparent that we need to mention Hannah was not only a nation's hero, but a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend to many...I would like to offer my condolences specifically to Hannah's parents; Matt & Barbie Heavrin, Hannah's husband; Chris McKinney and to her very young son; Todd Gunterman.

The loss of this wonderful young woman will be very difficult for the many lives she touched during her very short time here. May our Lord provide you with comfort during this very trying time.

Rest in Peace Hannah. You and your family will not be forgotten.

Ride Safe!

I served with Hannah and her death has had a devastating impact on us all, her friends will always miss her she made alot of peoples day a little better, even though her death was a tragic loss to all of us whom served with her, it could never be compared to the emotional devastation it has caused upon her family, son and husband....  I will always remember Sept 04, as the day i lost a good friend to an accident i wish i could have been there to prevent, if need be take her place....  Rest in Peace Leah, you were a good friend and made the unbearable tolerable...

Our words are little in comparison to the loss felt by the hearts of the friends and family of a fallen hero. We try to comfort because we care, our Lord in heaven also feels our pain. He gives us strength and comfort beyond any measure or understanding. May God give you the strength to go on and surround you with his love, and the love of those who care about you and will be there for you in the days to come.

Standing by and ready to help in Beaumont.
