I will be riding or driving to honor LCPL Price. For St. Louis folks, I will be at the Cracker Barrel at exit 9 on I-64. That is IL 157 in Caseyville at 10:15. I plan to leave the Cracker Barrel at 10:45 so that I will arrive at the Woodlawn High School a few minutes early. Hopefully that will give me a few minutes to meet everyone before we leave for the service.

Meeting point for St. Louis Metro Area is the Cracker Barrel at exit 9 on I-64.

I am currently in Collinsville, IL (10 minutes from the Caseyville meeting point) I intend to ride if at all possible. If I am to go home earlier than friday morning, I would be willing to let someone borrow an Intruder 1400 if they really wish to ride, but can't from a long distance. I will try to have my VTX (located here in collinsville) but if not I will have access to other bikes, I would really really feel honored to participate in the PG escort and I know that it would be greatly appriciated by our community, so I encourage you to ride if possible.

Weather looks like lower 50's as of right now...

NCO from Scott, riding rain or shine.....I've got gortex. One caveat from base legal (my supervisor made me check) is that those who are active duty:

"may join a group such as this in your private capacity. The Air Force cannot control what private/non-federal organizations you belong to in your off duty time; however, you may not use your rank or position in the Air Force while you are involved in this group. Put simply, while you are a member of this group you are a private citizen. In no way should your position in the Air Force be a part of your involvement in the group."

It seems pretty clear. For all those active duty out there who were wondering, there is no problem with joining the PGR, you just shouldn't wear your uniform while riding. (Gortex BDU's are OK as long as no rank/name - pretend you're a civilian that bought 'em at Walmart) Now if you show up in a car separate from PGR for the purpose of paying respect, class A or "Blues" are certainly appropriate.

For LCPL Price I will be there and I will ride in civies. I am honored to pay respects to one our local heroes. See you all at the high school!

I so wish that we could be there with you on Friday. But I have to turn grades in next week, so we will be busy doing schoolwork. At 12:30pm the girls and I will stop and say a prayer for all of you and for LCPL Price's family. I will make sure to spend that time to tell them all about who Jonathan Price was and what a true American hero he is. God Bless and ride safe everyone!

I promise, if the weather is no worse than what it was riding to Evansville last Tuesday, The Red Baron will be on the road. BTW last Tuesday temp was about 35 to 40 and humidity was 275%. There were fish passing me on the Interstate for 200 miles each way.

It's all a matter of mechanics and early morning school drop off. If all goes well, I should be able to meet at Cracker Barrel close to the 1015 meeting time.

The true measure of a hero is when a man lays down his life with the knowledge that those he saved will never know.

Does Illinois have a helmet law? I'm coming from northern Indiana, and it's been awhile since I rode in Illinois.
