To the Family of Sgt. Terry Lynch, our thoughts and prayers will remain with you during the many difficult days ahead of you. God bless you and give you strength.

Thank you for the mission you gave to your life in protecting our freedoms, and striving to give others, theirs. The lives of you and the men and women who have gone before you are raised high, and not given in vain. I honor you, and pray that our children will learn to do the same throughout coming generations. God bless your family, and may they keep their memories alive and rejoice in the life of a hero.

Final Inspection

AFTER ACTION REPORT
Friends, neighbors and members of a caring community stood with flags, held hands over their hearts and saluted an American Hero along a 15 mile route from St Bernard's Parish in Billings to his resting place at the Shepherd Cemetery in Shepherd Montana. Every hundred feet or so along the entire route yellow ribbons were hung on fenceposts, telephone poles, signs and everywhere a ribbon could be placed by hundreds of volunteers who came from veterans groups and the community to honor the memory of SGT Terry Lynch. Major General Michael Oates of Ft. Drum NY presented the family a posthumously awarded Bronze Star and Purple Heart in recognition of this young warrior's service and sacrifice for our nation.
Patriot Guard Riders, State, Local and City law enforcement led the funeral procession from Billings to Shepherd. All who participated were deeply moved. PGR members stood tall, their flags waving with grace and dignity in a gentle summer breeze.
We will never forget this day or the passing of this gallant American Hero.

At 440am I still cannot go to sleep thinking about this. I once served with Lynch in Afghanistan as a scout and later drank a few with him in the rear at Drum. I am pleased to see the Patriot Guard Riders were a part of his service.

It is with the deepest hearfelt condolence, I wish his family the best. God bless him and his family. The courage, the strength, and the commitment that it takes to hold this Nation together during a time of war is not easy, and never forgotten but yet he answered the call a second round in Afghanistan.

Last, I would like to thank this nation and the riders of the Patriot Guard. You have given a tremendous amount for the men we have lost. I thank you.

I will see you on the other side.

God bless our Nation and the men like Sgt Lynch
