To the family and friends of PVT. Steven Drees:
My heart is heavy this morning reading about your loss. Nothing I can say will ease your pain and I am truly sorry for that. Steven was a fine young man to stand up and serve his country in such dangerous times. Please know that there are thousands of Americans that are grieving his loss. This mission is in good hands with people like Al and Mike from the MI and WI PGR. Rest assured that proper honors and respect will be paid to Steven.

My sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Steven Drees ...a veteran and warrior. The price of freedom is very high high and more people in this country must understand this. I buried my warrior brother 2 months ago and tomorrow I bury my warrior father. I feel the pain of this family. If I can muster the strength, I will be there holding my flag to honor your warrior. Reset in Peace PVT, you have done your duty and helped freedom ring on.

If anyone would like to ride up from SE WI as a group, we could meet at the Park & Ride just north of Milwaukee, Brown Deer Rd. just west of I-43. I'll be there on Tuesday, and we should pull out by 7:45, so stage at 0730. E-mail me if you're interested.

For all his bluster, it is the sad problem of man that he cannot choose his triumph,
He can only choose how he will stand when the call of destiny comes,
Hoping that he’ll have the courage to answer.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  May they always be in your heart and your mind.  I hope this prayer will help heal you and all those who suffer with you.

Lord Jesus, still numb with grief, I place myself in Your hands.  Be with me and my family and friends as we morn the death of the child we so loved.

Help us to stay close to You and to one another as we struggle each day to accept the challenge of living without Steven.  May he be always at Your side to share in the light and glory of Your eternal life, happiness and peace.  AMEN.

To the family and friends of PFC Steven Drees, you are in our thoughts and prayers. May God wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you & give you strength at this very difficult time.
We will be there on Sunday in honor of Steven. He will remain in our hearts always.
With heartfelt sympathy,

You are all-powerful, God, and live forever in light and joy. Look with pity and love, we beg You, on this young man who bravely fought and gallantly died for his country. By laying down his life, he showed supreme love for others.
Accept, we ask You, his sacrifice and his belief in the justice of the cause he died for. Let his offering not be in vain. Please forgive any sins and faults he may have committed. Speedily, we implore You, bring him into Your Presence where fear, sadness, mourning, and death cannot exist.
Have pity in Your loving kindness on those he leaves behind. In Your own unsearchable ways, make good for his absence, and lavishly bestow Your love and consolations on those deprived of his presence. This we ask in the Name of Christ.
Amen.

Thank you for the mission you gave to your life in protecting our freedoms, and striving to give others, theirs. The lives of you and the men and women who have gone before you are raised high, and not given in vain. I honor you, and pray that our children will learn to do the same throughout coming generations. God bless your family, and may they keep their memories alive and rejoice in the life of a hero.

On my honor, we will stand at the place where you rest
And remember you

And carry it for you
On my honor, you will not be a silent memory
We will speak of you often, so the world will know what you have done
On my honor, as you reach the gates of heaven you will
Hear the voices of a grateful nation rise up.
