To the family and friends of the ever so young SSG Paul Smith,

There are no words or platitudes that can temper your pain. I can’t think of anything in life that could be more painful, then the loss of a loved one, especially a son.

I would, however, like to take a moment to remind you that as deep as the hole in your heart feels at this time, it will be filled over time with the wonderful times spent together.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal” ~From a headstone in Ireland

Thank you Paul for your service to our nation, and it's people, you are a hero to all.

Riding in Spirit,

Always,

We, my family and myself, pray the family and loved ones of Staff Sergeant Smith find consolation in knowing of the brave sacrifice of your hero, Paul. Our sleep has been made possible by the gift of a blanket of protection covering us in the night. And that blanket was provided by the dedication and love of nation of your hero.

Go with God, Paul, you have earned your place at the table. Paul Smith will not be forgotten.
