Our family to yours....sincerest condolences and heartfelt sorrow.  Your sacrifice for your country and family is always a constant reminder to all Americans that our freedom isn't free.  Without you and others like you, we fall into the abyss of evil that surfaces among us.

It is my duty to honor you and yours.

I'll be going down from Big Lake, Mn. (at least, that's my plan). It looks to be about a 6 hour ride, so I'm leaving at 0730 hours from home. Anybody along Interstate 35 I can "hook up" with for the ride, please mail me and we can set a meet time and place.

Our prayers and condolences go out to our fallen hero's family and friends.  Standing by in Iowa Falls to give assistance to all who may need it.  It's very upsetting to lose another local Hero so soon after losing Sgt. Wall of Alden.  God is gathering His Army of our finest!

Ironic...all Navy Corpsmen also follow the Hypocratic Oath of "Do No Harm..."  Not one in the battle zone is armed with more than a 9mm handgun for self-defense only.  Yet here a sister Shipmate stands before God, felled by the same device that took the life of a EO1 SEABEE, fully armed and battle-ready.

HM2 Jaenke, rest easy for we have The Watch.  If my call comes as yours did, I pray I fulfill my duty with the same honor, courage and commitment you displayed.  You do great credit to all Navy Corpsmen and SEABEEs.

To the daughter of HM2 Jaenke, on behalf of a proud Navy, I pray for God's comforting hand to hold you safe.  Know that your mom did not die in vain, and others were comforted because she was doing her job.  May you always remember that you are part of the Navy's family, and neither you or your mom will be forgotten.  We grieve with you, we share your pain.  You have lost your mother, and we have lost a sister.

As with the brother Sailor lost in the same attack, I wish I could be there to escort a sister Shipmate home.  Iowa's just too far on this short notice.

"It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived."
