Heartfelt condolences to the Family and Friends of SSG Keith Matthew Maupin. May your pain be tempered in the knowledge that Matt is a True American Hero and will never be forgotten. Thank you for your service, Sir. May you rest in peace!
Neither a medal, nor a nation's thanks, can compensate for such a loss or fully honor such devotion and self-sacrifice. At best, we can promise to never forget, and be determined to support all our military and to hold up our end of the bargain as long as we can.

The flag line in Ohio will be long & somber drawing riders from several surrounding states. Many of us will yearn to be there in support of the Maupin family, each other and the nation.
More of us will gather in memorials around the country. This will be in solidarity with our PGR family to support the Maupin’s.
I will be standing watch during Matt’s services. Among my other duties that day, I will set aside time remember him.
I wish you fare winds & following seas – we have the watch!

| I am proud of the job that Matt has done for his country and I am equally proud of job that Keith, Carolyn, and Micah have done and continue to do. God bless them all. I will be at the Ohio rest area on I-75 just south of exit 29 at 0845 Sunday morning and will depart the rest area at 0900 if any would like to ride in as a group. I also have an extra bed and couch and plenty of floor space if anyone needs a crash pad for Saturday night. I have secure garage parking for 5 to 6 bikes and always have hot coffee. I am located 1 mile east of I-75 at exit 38(39 miles from the ballpark). Tom U.S. Army Aviation 1971-1994. Standing proud for CW4 Benny Hardin and PVT Josh Beach |

I extend my sincere and deepest condolences to the family and friends of American Hero, SSG Maupin.
I am looking into your eyes as I type, in the photo taken of you riding over there, a photo that has been on my wall for a long, long time and will remain there, to remind me there are still Men such as you willing to give everything you have for America. ... And I know there is nothing I can say or do that would lift these words up to your standards.
A standard set in stone of sacrifice for the Love of Country, for the Love of Family for the Love of Friends .... Honor, Duty, Mission. You have fulfilled all of these, and more.
I stand in awe of men with courage like yours, who have given all they had to give so I might live in Freedom. God Bless you, Matt Maupin, and may He grant your Family the Peace of knowing you are home. Salute ....
I will think of you this weekend as I ride to Maine with the Red and Black of the VNV MC; and every inch of every mile I will thank my Airborne God you are finally Home and at Peace. |
