It's taken me a while to reply to this. My son (Marine Corps Reservist) and I were floored when we saw the breaking news on Sunday. It's the first time my household saw two Marines get sun in their eyes at the same time. Keith and Carolyn are unbelievable people. You couldn't ask for two better people in this world. During all their rough times not knowing, they stood tall. They started Operation Yellow Ribbon and did so much for our troops. They stayed true patriots and supported our troops in everyway. I can't express my feelings for these two people in meer words.  God Bless you both. Thank you Matt for your sacrifice in defending our nation. I will be there to give you the honor you deserved.

The Maupin family... My thoughts and prayers have been with you the last four years and continue today.  I am grateful you have closure, but saddened by the outcome.  Words cannot describe the strength and determination you have shown these past four years.  You are an example to us all.

Matt... you paid the ultimate sacrifice for your country... and it will never be forgotten.  Welcome home.
