PETE, I must add to what you said about Pfc. Brian J. Bradbury's mission, you did a fine job as well with caring for our brothers and sisters with water/ gator aid...during this mission. You have a caring heart and very high standards as a Patriot Guard Rider.

The following I stand and salute in tribute to your leadership in the Patriot Guard:

Doc, Big Dog, Whirly, Preacher, KAI, PBrobbins, and all of you I've shared these missions with, the family of Brian Bradbury, The US Army for standing in, all of the officers that have blocked roadways and escorted the PGR to their destinations
and all the local people that stand behind the Patriot Guard Riders, those that have given their time and efforts to support us (White Cloud American Legion, St Joseph American Legion, Post 400 American Legion).

Proud to Serve.

Two notes on this mission: The four aircraft that performed the "missing man" formation right down main street of White Cloud were WW II P-51 Mustangs. How many times in your life have you or will you see four of these rare aircraft flying together at the same time and place? While they were in the area participating in the St. Joseph Airshow, someone may have clued them in on the funeral procession, for they overflew us two or three times on the way to White Cloud. Big Dog--how did you arrange for them to perform the missing man formation over White Cloud? It literally took my breath away to see them coming in low and one pull up and away. What a sight it was!

Second note. An active-duty U.S. Army chaplain from Fort Leavenworth participated in the day's activities at both the funeral and burial. (The firing squad was also from Fort Leavenworth.) This morning in chapel service at Fort Leavenworth (I was there), before he delivered his sermon he spent about 3 minutes talking about the Patriot Guard Riders and how impressed he was with their patriotism and selfless service to PFC Bradbury's family. As others on this thread have done, he also mentioned the citizens standing by the side of the road holding flags and signs. The bottom line is that in everything we do on these missions, people are watching us and learning from us.

Thank you Patriot Guard Riders for what you do.

My wife and I rode in the mission to honor Pfc. Brian J. Bradbury. We now realize we are members of yet one more caring and sharing family of persons who actually care about others. (GWRRA is our other family) It was our 1st mission; and as long as there is purpose and duty, we will be there to honor ANY American fallen hero. We were touched by so many people saying "thankyou" as they walked past our flags. I'm a 'tough guy vet' who wiped away more than one tear on Saturday. I must say "GREAT JOB"! by the PGR leadership and also all LEO's! Very professional. Thanks to Arch Angel for assisting us on our 1st mission. We are proud to be members of the elite PGR. Oh, by the way, someone was looking for PG riders from Iowa; We're from SW Iowa and I know there were some there also from our neighboring city of Clarinda. R & R ASA ALL THE WAY!

This was my first mission today. I was never in the military, but today I felt that I was. The gentleman standing on the side of the road at full attention was the one that about put me over the top. This was a sad day for Private Bradbury's family and all of us. I met alot of great people and everyone made me feel like I was a part of the PGR. I have 2 sons close to the same age as PFC Bradbury. I cant even imagine having to bury one of them before it's my time. It's a crazy world we live in, I think the PGR is just what I needed to make some sense out of it all. Thanks again everyone.

This was my first mission ride, and I want to say how proud I was to be part of this organization. You have to kow you are doing a good thing when there are people stuck on the side of the road for miles because of the lengthy procession you are in, and they are giving you the thumbs up. And of course all of the thanks from the family members of PFC Brian Bradbury. It was a great honor to be there along side of all of you to show respect for him and his family. I am not a real emotional guy, but there was just something about that individual along the side of the road standing at attention and saluting that brought me to tears, and still is today. I guess it just brought the reality of what we were all doing home to me. And even though I and most others had never meet this soldier, I think it was at that moment I felt like I had lost a brother. I have one dumb question. Someone said there were 10 UG's arrested, and I know the clowns that he was referring to, I just dont know what UG stands for, can any one inlighting me?

Ash, if you're referring to the guys from Clarinda, they were riding with me but don't have computers. We were the group with four Harleys and my bike you see on my avatar. If that's who you mean and have a question, drop me a line and I'll gladly pass on any info or questions.

I would like to thank the Bradbury family for allowing my daughter and I to participate in this very personal matter.  I would also like to thank our fellow riders for making us feel welcome and as a part of what makes this country so great.  It made me proud when later in the day my 15 year old referred to the days events in the first person, it was WE rode to St. Joe, WE held our flags and WE paid honor to Brian Bradbury.  Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of this family.  Ride Safe.

04XRIDER,
The UG's are the Uninvited Guests. I know you know who I mean by that. We are there at the request of the family.
Watch for my post later as we covered 3 different missions over the weekend. Got to get everything sorted out.

First off, I would like to thank the Bradbury Family for allowing us to honor their hero. His service and sacrifice to this country will never be forgotten. God speed PFC Brian Bradbury.

It was a true honor to ride with such fine Americans. And to all of the PGR members that made this mission, thank you for your time to honor this Veteran.

I was moved and touched numerous times throughout the day. I even found a few times on my ride home becoming emotional. I am very proud and honored to be a part of this organization and will continue to ride with all of you in every mission I can make. I clocked in over 550 miles on this one, and would gladly travel farther for this cause.

Again thank you all for making this mission such a success. I was very impressed by the organization and the overall outcome. My hats off to everyone in charge. You all did a fine job.

Words cannot express my thanks to all those who showed their support and patriotism for my son PFC Brian Bradbury.  A mother has never felt so much love for her son as I did that day when I saw the number of people at his funeral and those standing along side the road.  The Patriot guard is magnificent.  The wonderful display of flags was breathtaking.  Knowing that so many people care, has really helpeld ease the pain.  With people like the Patriot Guard, OUR COUNTRY WILL NEVER FALL!  Our family loves all of you.

Our thanks to the family of Pfc. Brian Bradbury for allowing us to share this solemn day with you. Words cannot express the pride we feel knowing that we are a part of this. Thank you for your sacrifice. None could ask for more. We thought the inside of the church was beautiful.

The show of support for this mission was tremendous. I don't know the exact bike count, but it had to be near 300. All you first timers whether on bikes, or in cages(Vehicles), did a fantastic job. My thanks to you. The flag display was incredible. I never get tired of seeing the Red, White, And Blue. Does anyone have any info on the bike that went down at the Platte City McDonalds? How about the one that blew the valve on I-29? We stopped to see if he needed any help, and a motor officer stop also. The guy said he had called his wife.

Big Dog, I think you did an excellent job. Give yourself a pat on the back. We were glad to make some new aquaintances, and see some old ones. DOC, Big Dog, Rader, pbrobbins, Kai, Red, Mug, Clint. I met so many I can't remember you all and I'm sorry. Hopefully we'll meet again somewhere and I'll remember.

Bill "whr2nd" Richart, thanks for the help with the flags. Thanks also for letting us follow you to Independence. Sorry I didn't recognize you at first, I think it was the fact you weren't on your bike and you was driving that big truck.

Ruffy and I have jet lag. We left home at 02:30am Saturday morning. It was a 3 mission weekend for us. St. Joseph, Independence, and Kirksville, 850 miles total. We finally arrived back home Sunday night about 11:30pm. We slept in this morning. We felt it our honor to display the flags at all 3 missions. Another kicker was the fact we had a sign on the back window that read, "Patriot Guard Mission". You wouldn't believe the people that would honk, give us the thumbs up, and flash their lights. Kinda gives me cold chills. The last guy that flashed his lights had a tag that said "Undertaker".

Will get pictures posted when I can.

Till we meet again my brothers and sisters, you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Ride safe.

stretchnit, you are what makes the PGR organization so great.
You spent your whole weekend going to not one, but THREE missions.
You traveled 850 miles to attend these missions.
You brought many, many flags so your PGR brothers and sisters would have flags to proudly hold during these missions.
You ARE the true symbol of what a PGR member is and should be.
I am extremely impressed with what you did this last weekend.
I am honored to know you and be your brother, sir.

The community of St. Joseph is indeed fortunate to have the Bradbury family in their midst, and likewise the Bradbury's are blessed to be surrounded by such a great community. Thank you to all who made this mission a success, and to the many new friends I gained on this ride.
