PFC sufferred for many months with an extreme case of cancer and refused to die doing anything but being a "United States Army Soldier". One of his recent comments was,
"I want to serve in some capacity to the best of my ability and until my health fails, as a soldier. I want to tell other soldiers how to deal with a terminal illness, I want to do something useful..."
He stood purposeful and with a military bearing that ANY leader would be proud of.

To the family that Pfc. King left behind I extend my heartfelt sympathies.
I regret that I never had the chance to meet this man.
What courage and dedication he demonstrated in the face of an illness many will never experience.

Thank you Pfc King for having the courage to fight the cancer the way you did. Thank you for being strong and thinking of others during this most difficult time in your life. You have left this earth, but not our hearts and souls. You will never be forgotten for the soldier you are. May God find a way to comfort your loved ones.

What a lesson PFC Justin King could be for many in the U.S. if only they would listen. Thank goodness there are many still listening to the brave hearts of our soldiers.
Justin, thank you for your sacrifice both in the service to our country and in the fight against a very hard illness. You will not be forgotten. While your mission here on earth is done we rest knowing that you are finally whole again and out of pain. Mission complete.
We thank Justin's dad for his sacrifice in allowing his son to serve his country well and standing beside him during the time of this difficulty. Due to men and women like Justin we are able to remain FREE.
