My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of SPC Gonzalez. Rest easy soldier, mission accomplished. Thankyou for my freedom.

Usually at a time like this I struggle for words to comfort a friend who has suffered a loss. The right words don’t often come, but if accompanied by the right sentiment they can be soothing. But I have learned over time that the best comfort at a time like this comes from those who watch over us. My beliefs allow me to be comforted by a certainty that I am watched over by those who have gone before me.
