11 May 2006 5:43 AM Alert

Attention Attention Attention PGR Riders

Date Change  Sorry hit the wrong key

We have a confirmed mission for SPC Aaron P. Latimer of Ennis Texas

Services are at Keever Funeral Chapel 408 North Dallas in Ennis Texas at 2:00 PM Saturday May 20,2006

Staging will be at the Super Wal-Mart on Ennis Ave. in Ennis Texas. The Wal Mart store is 1 block west off of I-45.

If you are coming in on I-45 from the north take exit 251B and go to the light which will be Ennis Ave. you will turn right at the light and go about 1 block and turn right into Wal Mart parking lot.

If you are coming from the south on I-45 your exit is 251B turn left at the light (Ennis Ave.) and go about 2 blocks to Wal Mart and turn right in the parking lot,

If you are coming by way of 287 or Hwy 34 Wal Mart is about half way between Main St and I-45 on the north side of the street.

Staging will be 12:30 to 1:00 Pm, Riders meeting at 1:00PM and KSU at 1:10 for a short ride to the funeral home. The Funeral home is blocking an area across for the Chapel for our parking and wall of flags. The cemetery is about 8 blocks away.

We will set up a wall of flags across the street from the Keever Funeral Chapel at 1:30 Pm to honor the arrival of family and friends. After the chapel service we will also provide a flag escort to the cemetery and provide a wall of flags to the cemetery services. Fortunately for us the parking area is covered by massive trees, some reprieve from the heat.

Ennis Police Department has given us their blessings and will allow us to arrive in a single procession so we will need several road guards to control intersection for the short trip to the funeral home.

Bring your flags and prayers for this family and friends of this fallen Hero

Never forget our purpose TO HONOR AND RESPECT OUR FALLEN HEROS AND FAMILY

My wife works with Aaron's mother.  Sadly, she works nights and was called by a neighbor that "the car" with the Casualty Assistance Calls Officer was sitting outside her house, waiting for her to return.  To my knowledge, this is the 3d or 4th casualty for our County and each one gets harder.  Standing by for our local Hero.

My heart goes out to the Latimer family. I have lived in fear that the Casualty Assistance personnel would appear on my door step. I have been on both sides of this sword. In 1971, I had to make four such calls and still have nightmares over the family's reaction. I had much rather been in combat than knocking on the doors.

Standing by to honor this great American Hero...
