We have confirmed details for an escort mission on Wednesday, May 16th, and for interment services on Thursday, May 17th.
Ride Captain in Charge both days will be Indian John Thompson.

An update to clarify for everyone:

SPC Dixon is originally from Gladwin, MI, but most recently resided in the Twin Cities in MN with his wife. He is being flown home to Gladwin for a memorial service there. Afterward he will be flown to MN for interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Patriot Guard will be standing at the services both in Michigan and Minnesota. The mission in MN will be next Wednesday/Thursday, details will be posted this weekend.

DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Robert J. Dixon, 27, of Minneapolis, died May 6 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. Dixon was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kan.
