Ride safely; everyone goes home at the end of the Mission.
Remember the basics: hydration and protection from the sun. We will be standing on 20 acres of asphalt in Missouri in July. The weather forecast is for a high of 91, with SSW winds gusting 15-29 mph. There is also a 25% chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Plan accordingly.
Soldiers Angels have graciously volunteered to provide bottled water for this Mission. Thanks to Debby and all the Angels!
COMMAND AND SIGNAL
Big Dog is the Ride Captain for this Mission. S/C Bill "WHR2ND" Richart may attend this Mission, depending on his availability. Any other R/C or S/C that attends, please find Big Dog at the Assembly Point.
Refer any reporters to Big Dog.
Big Dog's cell number: (816) 262-4986. Contact me if you run into any problems or if any Rider is injured.
MISCELLANEOUS
BRING YOUR BIG FLAGS.
Missouri is a "helmet state". If you are riding in from out of state, don't forget your skid lid.
This is solemn business we are on. Remember to maintain a properly respectful demeanor ("proper military bearing"). We will honor the US flag, PFC Bradbury, and PFC Bradbury's family with hand salutes. If you are not comfortable with a salute, please place your hand over your heart when honoring the Flag and PFC Bradbury's casket.
All updates and changes will be posted to this thread.
I look forward to seeing you all Saturday; I only wish it were under happier circumstances.
