still on for saturday morning, and for LI riders to meet in hicksville at the posted stage area on Levittown Parkway. weather report says sunny and hot, bring water or something to drink, those in the cages, if you could bring a cooler with ice that would be great. There is a deli in the stage area parking lot.
STAGING AREA FOR THIS MISSION:
We will meet at the Parkinglot for a strip mall on Levittown Parkway in Hicksville, From the west- Southern LI-BKLYN S. State Pkwy to Wantaugh Parkway North Exit 27N, carefull on this exit as it is a short exit ramp with a sharp bend.
west-Northern LI Queens Northern State Parkway to Wantaugh Parkway, Exit 33 go South The only way you can), to exit W2E, (under the over pass) follow the exit around to the right, over the over pass and follow directions below from the exit. East-Southern LI
Sothern State to Wantaugh North, Exit 27N, follow Take the Wantaugh north to Old Country Road East, exit W2E.
East-Northern LI-
LIE west to Northern State, exit 42, N State to exit 33 Wantaugh Parkway,to exit W2E, (under the over pass) follow the exit around to the right, over the over pass and follow directions below from the exit.
Go right on Old Country Road, again, use caution entering Old Country Road, as cars come rather fast over the over pass and you do not get a lot of sight distance. If you are in a group, turn only 2 at a time, you can pull over a few yards down and regroup, however, you will only be riding a short distance from there,( 1/4 mile on OCR). Go to the 3rd Light, Levittown Parkway, across from Dunkin Donuts, make a right, the lot is about 100 yards down on the left, just past the fire house.

I want to thank everyone who rode with us today, to pay a special tribute to Staff Sgt. Brian McElroy. For those who stayed after the ceremony, you heard this 1st hand and for those who had to leave, the family was very very greatful that we came down. I spoke with many of his family members and each one told me that they thought what we did was terrific. His brother told me "you guys are awesome", and that is exactly how I feel. To stand in the stage area parking lot, and see wave after wave of riders arrive was something else, and it was once again my pleasure and complete honor to lead you men and women on another ride for a successful mission. Thank you all for your attendance and support to the PGR. Until we ride again, be safe, |

This was my first mission with the PGR and I was deeply touched by the number of bikes that showed up and he sincerity of the members. Having just returned recently from Iraq and having a daughter currently serving overseas I really appreciate what you guys do and can promise that I will now be fully involved myself. See you all at the next mission. |

Good afternoon fellow guardsmen, My name is Ed Vinogroski. The street dedication was my first mission. It was very impressive. I'm glad I joined. I hope to ride on other missions. I originally heard of this group through my wife who is a Marine Mom Online member. A Marine Mom is a Patriot Guard member. I have a son and son-in-law in the Marines. I'm very proud I am part of this group. Everyone please be safe. God bless. |

What can I say but thank you to my fellow Guardsmen and women. Once again all of us have come thru for a family that lost a loved one who served our country and gave the ultimate sacrifice. Close to 100 hundred Patriot Guard riders rode to support the family and a fellow Patriot guard member for a Street naming for their son SSgt Brian Mc Elroy. What an amazing family even with the lost of their son after the ceremony the family invited everybody there to a BBQ to help celebrate the life of there son. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a special occasion.
