Donna and all others: Your PGR family is here. We hurt as much as you do. Many times we ride for folks we do not know. tomorrow PGR will ride for one of our own. I am headed for Norfolk VA tomorrow and will have to miss htis mission.

It is 1240 am right now and I am trying to find the words that describe how I feel personally losiing some one I have ridden with before. There really isn't a single one that comes to mind. So please know, I am sorry he is gone. He will be rememberd by all of us here in this TN/AL/GA trianlge. I will sit quietly in the airport tomorrow and think of you and pray for your pain to be lifted away by the presence of greater powers than man.

Carlos Hixon (former Doc- killed by a stupid drunk driver - we lost a talented musician who made folks smile)

Our most sincere condolences to the family and friends at this time of loss and sorrow.

The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss,
but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good-bye for now to someone we love.
May today's sorrow give way to the peace and comfort of God's love.

Love leaves a memory no one can steal

that you will not wipe away.

The Fallen...
Through Their Memory
They Still Give...

We thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday
And days before that too.

We think of you in silence
We often speak your name.

Now all we have are memories
And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part

God has you in His keeping
We have you in our Heart.

Life is unpredictable, so to try and predict what is ahead is only asking for disappointment. Just live it as we can. Love and love of life will help us be guided in our decisions as we go forward.

On the evening prior to honoring my fellow Veterans Of Vietnam Motorcycle Club member, my fellow Vietnam Veterans of Amercia member, my co-rider with the American Legion Riders, my Ride Captain with the Patriot Guard Riders and my friend, I find myself reflecting on what it has meant to me to know Kirk Teegardin. The first thing that I realized is that I did not know Kirk as well as I should have. Sure, we rode together on PGR missions, VoVMC rides and American Legion rides but right now that just doesn't seem to be enough. I know allot of the little things that made Kirk tick but I didn't know enough of the little things. I should have been there for him on several occasions and for some reason or another I wasn't. We all have tough times in life and Kirk had his own tough times but he always seemed to handle them. He was there for Donna, he was there for his family and he was there for all the fallen comrades that he could possibly get to on his bike and in his truck in inclement weather. And, he would have been there for you if you asked him to be. Kirk was a friend to all and will be missed by all that knew him. Take care Kirk and sit by the side of our Lord and watch over Donna, your family and the Patriot Guard Riders.

To the family and friends of Kirk Teegardin,
I was deeply saddened today when I learned of the loss of this great man, and great hero!  I deeply appreciate his service and sacrifice for our country, and his service and sacrifice for those that still serve.  What a wonderful tribute that he continued to serve those who serve us all.

You will be in my prayers, and I pray that our Father will soften the loss in this difficult time.  I pray you will find comfort in knowing that Kirk continues to serve.

God bless you,

Army Dad! Noli nothis permittere te terere.
