As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.

No words can ever replace for the family the loss of this man - a Marine. My prayers go out to the family to find the ability to remember this man as he was and not as he is now. For in remembering who he was and how he lived Jason will then never be forgotten. It will be my honor to stand for this man, Marine, at his services and to escort him to his next duty station. Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Cpl. Jason Sal Verta. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Jason.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Your willingness to serve our nation is truly appreciated, Cpl Jason Sal Verta. Rest easy now, along with all our fallen warriors who have gone before you, in the loving arms of our Lord. You will not be forgotten here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom
