 The family of Alva {Bud} Ancil has requested the PGR to stand in honor of their loved one, US NAVY SEAMAN, 1941-1944- Alva {Bud} Ancil. Mr Ancil passed away Thurs, Sept. 11, 2008.

Jack Grose will be Ride Captain for the Vistation Sun, Sept 14, 2008, from 2-6 pm at Needam Storey Funeral Home 400 Main St. Gas City,In. Jack's cell # is 765-251-1400  Staging is at 1:15pm
 
 
Mon. Sept. 15, funeral service is at 11 am at the funeral home.

Internment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Gas City, In. 

Staging will be at 10:15 am at the funeral home, weather is suppose to be good.

Ride Captain will be Don DeBruler-mold maker.

Per family request, the INPGR will lead the funeral procession to the cemetery. Please bring your big flags. My home phone is 765-662-1799.

Mission completed.... Sunday,sept.14,2008 As I left for the funeral home, The skies looked very dismal.Arrived at the funeral home and 3 PGR were waiting. Its 1:15 and so many folks started coming in we set up a flag line at once. there were 7 PGR there from 1 pm till 6 pm that evening. The family was awsome offering food/drink and checking on us from time to time. What a great family they are. I would be liein if I said it just rained a little. These PGR men/women stood there,we were under an awning but it was blowing in so hard at time. Thanks for everyone who stood the course during this dreadful weather. At 6 pm, we broke down the flag line and called it a day. Monday, sept.15,2008 Arrived at the funeral home at 10:10 am. # PGR were there. One was from-get this folks,,Noble,Oklahoma. He was in Portland visiting family and decicded to do the mission. Now you know why I love the PGR !!!! The day was cloudy but cool. We had 8 members and 7 bikes. A short riders meeting was held and pledge/prayer given. Formed a flag line at 10:30 am until 11 am,at whitch time we broke until the service was concluded. We lead the coach to the cmetery and formed a flag line graveside. The family came after and shook our hands and gave out big hugs. As always we told the family it is ALWAYS OUR HONOR to be invited to stand for there loved one and an AMERICAN HERO. Thanks to the Legion riders. Your a great bunch of Patriots!! Special thanks to Steve Lewis from Oklahoma. He says to tell all of you,if your in Ok. Look him up. Thanks again to all of you who took time out to help honor and respect Mr. Ancil- GODS SPEED ALVA!!!!!!
