" The Forgotten Heros"

Welcome Home !....... To the family and friends and shipmates of United States Navy Vietnam Veteran Wolf R. Haaga, 61, West Springfield, MA . Thank you Mr Haaga for your Honor, Courage, Commitment in the Greatest Navy On Earth in... "America's Longest War" ...From the sky and from the sea, over land and over rivers, the NAVY served in every phase of war in Vietnam. SEALS, SEABEES, BEACHMASTERS, MINESWEEPERS, RIVER PATROL, AMPHIBIOUS FORCES, AVIATORS, SURFACE SHIPS, LOGISTIC SUPPORT. Thank you for defending the freedoms and liberties of this great nation we call America and answering the call to duty. You never ran from your duty or gave up. Not even when your countrymen failed to welcome you home and instead labeled you "crazies," "druggies" and "baby-killers.".... NEVER AGAIN !......You are the true light of this country, you are the glue that binds us ,you are our angel of freedom and our wings of protection. Rest assured, you are a "TRUE AMERICAN HERO" and you "WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN"! Standing For Those Who Stood For US........E Pluribus Unum..........One Cause One Mission ...... Respect.........................".BRAVO ZULU SAILOR HAAGA"..............Fair Winds And Following Seas......... Standing Mission Ready In Pembroke Ma

A powerful Navy we have always regarded as our proper and natural means of defense; and it has always been of defense that we have thought, never of aggression or of conquest. But who shall tell us now what sort of Navy to build? We shall take leave to be strong upon the seas, in the future as in the past; and there will be no thought of offense or provocation in that. Our ships are our natural bulwarks

The Sailor's Creed

I am a United States Sailor. I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and I will obey the orders of those appointed over me. I represent the fighting spirit of the Navy and those who have gone before me to defend freedom and democracy around the world. I proudly serve my country's Navy combat team with Honor, Courage, and Commitment. I am committed to excellence and the fair treatment of all.

"Patriot Guard Riders"

Why do they come.. They don't even know him.. Yet they stand for hours.. In the cold.. In the heat.. In the rain.. In the snow.. They never ask for a thing in return.. But yet they receive so much.. Many are veterans.. Many are not.. Why do they care.. They stand in silence.. They stand with tears in their eyes.. They stand for a fallen hero.. They stand because they care.. They stand in respect.. They stand in honor.. They stand because they must.. They stand because it is their duty.. Their duty to the fallen.. Their duty to their country.. Their duty to the grieving family.. And their duty to themselves.. They are the Patriot Guard Riders.. And they will stand until someone stands for them.

Thank you for my freedom Mr Haaga. May you rest in peace.

Honored to Stand for those who have stood.
