What a welcome home! I thought our bikes were loud until all the fire engines, EMT's, and other emergency vehicles joined us with horns blaring. You are appreciated 1 Lt. Brian Brennan. If you need us again, we will be there. Have a speedy recovery. Sherry

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American G.I. One died for your soul and the other for your freedom. Don't be one who forgets to honor both of them! God Bless... hog-rider PGR#38642 |

**************************MISSION ACCOMPLISHED**************************
Where to start. I do not have the words to properly convey my feelings regarding the welcome home for 1LT. Brian Brennan, that included around 85 riders, many police, and around 30 fire and emergency responders from many towns. I always tell new people that the thing about what we do is that joining the PGR is to make a committment to something bigger than yourself. This mission was the epitomy of that. We have to first offer a huge thank you to the following organizations: The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey for some of the best coordination we have seen; Port Authority Police for an outstanding staging job on Friday evening at the airport with UN delegates arriving for their meetings on Monday; The NJ State Police(heck of a job fellas); Howell Township Police(thanks Chet), Howell Fire(Stan, you are THE man) and about 30 other fire, police, and first responders much too numerous to mention. The motorcycle groups that joined the PGR for the ride were the best, including Long Branch HOGs, Jersey Shore HOGs, the Blue Knights Chapter NJXV, the Red Knights, and if I missed anyone, I am so sorry. Last of all, I need to thank the leadership of the NJ PGR for their outstanding efforts; Paul and Kevin for getting all the southern riders to Newark Airport safely, and for leading the escort out of the airport, CmdrRob for shepherding the group from Northwest NJ, and of course, Senior Ride Captain Rich Baumann for putting together the group at the fire house in Howell that allowed the group escorting from the airport to have a seamless transition from the escort to the final flag line to honor LT. Brian Brennan. To all of the riders from all of the groups, thank you for giving up your Friday evening to leave your families and come out to honor this American hero. The leadership of all the groups present talked about continuing the relationships formed during this mission, and I will do my part to improve the relationships we started last night, and to continue to help each other achieve our goals.
LAST AND CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, WELCOME HOME 1LT. BRIAN BRENNAN. YOUR FAMILY, YOUR COMMUNITY, YOUR STATE, AND THE COUNTRY THANK YOU FOR YOUR VALIANT SERVICE. GET WELL SOON. WE ARE HERE IF YOU NEED US.

It was an honor to ride the Welcome Home mission for 1LT. Brian Brennan. This was only my second mission. The effort put forth by Pappy, Rich, Paul, Kevin, Rob and others to coordinate this mission was a super demonstration of moving fast and thinking on your feet. Riding along the route I try to concentrate on the road and my mind may drift. When we came up on that long row of emergency vehicles staged along the side and they started sounding off, that's when it really hit me as to how much planning was done and how important this mission was. Riding through 1LT. Brennan's hometown and seeing the turn out made my heart jump and tears came to my eyes. I was never one for belonging to any groups or clubs but I am very proud to ride with my PGR brothers and sisters.
Thank you 1LT. Brian Brennan for your service. Get well soon. You have an outstanding family and many friends around you for support.
Well done NJPGR.

| Little help??
My family and I saw the article in the APP regarding Brian.
I thought my 6 y.o. girl should see firsthand how we treat our returning heros so we went over to Rt. 9 to stand by.
You guys did a great job!
I saw a few video cameras, can someone post a link to one of the uploads?
I tried the You Tube link on page three, didn't work.
Anyone?? |
