Final Itinerary:


Funeral services and staging time remain as posted below.

  At the conclusion of Mr. Rawley's funeral service, we will provide an escort to the cemetery, approximately 10 miles.   Flags can be flown during the escort as we will be travelling no faster than 40 mph.   Please make sure all flag mounts are very secure. Once we reach the cemetery, we will stand a flag line until the family departs. 

  The cemetery is fairly large, with a narrow, paved road.  Parking will be limited.  KICKPLATES ARE A MUST!!.  I will discuss our parking with the funeral director in the a.m. before the ride briefing.

  Forecast is:  High - 70, 20% chance precip., partly cloudy.  Please dress accordingly and keep yourself hydrated.

ITINERARY INFORMATION
 
Funeral Services will be held at 1100 on Monday, 15 September 2008, at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003 (http://tinyurl.com/4zyp6b).
 
Staging time: 0900 
 
Briefing:  0930
 
KSU:  0945
 
Location:  Tractor Supply Corp.
           6 Elm Grove Crossing
           Wheeling, WV  26003

Flag line will be in place prior to 1000 and maintained until start of services. 

Line will be re-established at the conclusion of services as Rex is moved from the funeral home.
 
WV State Police will provide escort from the funeral home to the cemetery in West Alexander, PA.
 
Current weather forecast for the area on Monday is calling for Sunday night lows in the 50's and Monday highs in the 70's with a 50% chance of showers. 

Please dress and travel accordingly.
 
All who are able are requested to assist as we honor another Veteran from the Forgotten War.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in Honor and Respect for Rex Rawley, 74, U.S. Navy Korean War Veteran, of Valley Grove, WV.  Mr. Rawley passed away earlier today, 11 September 2008.
 
Although times have yet to be determined, funeral services will be held on Monday, 15 September 2008, at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003 (http://tinyurl.com/4zyp6b).  Interment will follow in West Alexander, PA.
