Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Merle Pulliam, Army, WWII Veteran. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. He is
one of America's Heroes that will NEVER be forgotten.
Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Merle.
Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
Morning
Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

| This mission will be a double honor for me. First I want to thank Merle for his dedication to this country and for being a part of changing world history. His body bore the scares of that war the rest of his life. It will be an honor to stand the flag line for him. Merle had just decided to submit his application to Honor Flight to visit the memorial that was built to honor him and his comrades. He'll have a better view now of the memorial from heaven. Which is my second honor. His daughter, Melissa, who has taken care of him all these years goes to my church and I will have the priviledge of speaking at his service. I have a great respect for our WWII vets and now I'll have to put my feelings into words. That won't be an easy task but I trust the Lord will let me know what to say. He no longer bares those scares, physical or emotional. Thank God, through Jesus Christ. By the way, he went home to be with the Lord on his 85th birthday. |
