PVT  Dinterman received a posthumous promotion to Private First Class ( PFC ) this past Friday and we were just informed of it.

Update Confirmed Mission

The PGR has been contacted personally by this heros father who wishes US to stand in honor of his son who made the ultimate sacrifice for us.
It will be our honor and priviledge to do just that.
Details are still being gathered and this mission is coming together at this time.

DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Pvt. Michael R. Dinterman, 18, of Littlestown, Pa., died Sept. 6 at Outpost Restrepo, Kunar Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when he received enemy fire while on dismounted patrol.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

I'm gonna miss you mikey. you were one of the biggest bad ass's i ever met dude. if only i could have been with you when it went down.. maybe things would be different... your a hero in my book. i enlisted to make brothers... and to protect you all.... i feel as though i failed you man... we were just at Ft benning in may bro.. i never thought we would lose anyone so quickly.. but i guess the D.S's were right. your death was honorable.. unselfish and untimely... but yo will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! and your death will not go unavenged.
