IPA  C Jesse Freeman will be returning to Rapid City on September 12, 2008, after completing four years of duty in Iraq as an International Police Advisor to the Iraqi Police.

Jesse has been a PGR member since June, 2006, but has been unable to attend many missions due to his constant deployment.  He is very much looking forward to joining us as an active member.

During his tours of duty in Iraq as a civilian contractor, Jesse has helped to train Iraqi police to provide security and police protection in all areas.   He has gone out on patrol with our military and has faced the same dangers they face.  During many of his patrols, Jesse has carried a PGR flag with him.   Unfortunately, Jesse has escorted two of his partners home to their final resting places.

Jesse also served as the point-of-contact for Operation Caring Hands-Iraq, an operation in which school items and small toys were sent to Iraq for distribution to the children.

Prior to his duties in Iraq, Jesse served in the United States Army for 24 years, and was a Deputy Sheriff in Bennett County.   He has served his country well and faithfully.  During leave home in June, Jesse was made an Honorary Citizen of Rapid City by Mayor Alan Hanks.

Ride Captain for this mission will be Ed Kruse, with assistance from Asst RC Ed Kruse Jr.
Ed (Sr) can be reached at akek97718@msn.com and Ed (Jr) at big_ed1979@yahoo.com ..

STAGING:  Will be near the airport.  Turn off Hwy 44, but continue straight at the traffic light instead of turning toward the airport terminal.  Stage at the first turn to the right, which goes into the rental parking lot.  When we travel to the terminal for Jesse's arrival, we will be parking in front of the terminal....no paid parking will be required.    Staging time will be 5:45 pm, Sept 12, 2008.  Stay tuned for information in case the flight should be delayed.  Jesse has a number of connections including in Jordon and France.  Weather and airport incidents can delay flights.
