The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the 2008 Veterans Stand Down at the Post Falls National Guard Armory.

 

It is a "hand up ... not a hand out"; a one day Stand Down for veterans who need help or are homeless.

 

Please note that this is a two-phase HOTH mission, with the first phase taking place on 6 Sept, and the second on 13 Sept.

 

Phase One:

“FILL OUR TRUCK”

 

The Idaho Patriot Guard Riders are requesting your support by collecting non-perishable food donations for the “North Idaho Veterans 2008 Stand Down”.

 

6 September 2008

8:00 a.m. to 12: p.m.

Phase Two:

Veteran’s Stand Down

Saturday, 13 Sept 08

 

Staging:                      Road House Cycles   

                                    1640 East Schneidmiller Avenue

                                    Post Falls, Idaho

 

Time:                          0615 (6:15 am)

 

PreMission Briefing: 0630 (6:30 am)

 

KSU:                          0645 (6:45 am)

 

Mission Location:      Idaho National Guard Armory

                                    5555 East Seltice Way

                                    Post Falls, Idaho

 

Upon arrival a flag line will be formed honoring our local veterans.  When the opening ceremonies begin, the flag-line will be dismissed.  Those wishing to go, may at this time; others who wish to assist in distributing food, toiletries, etc, park vehicles, and assist wherever we are needed, will be free to do so.

 

For our homeless veterans, there will be clothing, food, medical assistance, haircuts, showers, service providers will be available and brunch will be served 8 am - 1pm.

 

This mission will be supported by the Washington Patriot Guard Riders.
