1-181st Field Artillery Battalion
National Guard welcome home ceremony Sept. 6, '08
There will be an Official Welcome Home for the Dayton Unit of the 1-181st Field Artillery Battalion's forward support company based in Athens, Tenn.
The Rhea County ceremony will be held on the Rhea County courthouse lawn Saturday, September 6th at 10:00 AM and followed by a lunch at the Dayton National Guard Armory for the soldiers and their families. The Courthouse is located downtown Dayton, TN, at North Market street and W 3rd Ave.
The Dayton detachment will also participate in a battalion-wide Freedom Salute ceremony Sunday, September 7th at 3 p.m., at the Chattanooga Choo Choo convention complex. The event is open to the public.
Barbara Keltch, who chairs the local unit's Family Readiness Group.
Bring your Flags and stand to Welcome these Great Soldiers Home.
Parking will be first come first served in the area around the Rhea County Court House.
No Ride Captain Assigned since this is a "Gathering".
