The family of Army Veteran Emilio Herrera has requested our presence at funeral services Friday, September 5 at the First Avenue Presbyterian Church in Denver, with honors following at 12:30P at Fort Logan.  Staging will take place at 9A in the parking lot behind The

IMPERIAL Chinese Restaurant
431 South Broadway
Denver, CO 80209

- 1/2 block south of Alameda on Broadway (west side).

KSU at 9:30.  We'll place a flag line at the church entrance shortly before 10A at the church, then departing as services start, for the Fort Logan area, where we will stage at 11:45 at the main visitor area.  We'll then place a flag line at the proper pavillion shortly after noon.  Please respond on this thread or by email to me if you plan on attending and advise if you'll be carrying your own flag to minimize additional flag staging.  We will have a flag available for you if you need one.  We extend our condolences to the family, along with our thanks for the honor of taking part in this farewell.

Thank you for my freedom Mr Herrera. May you rest in peace.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Emilio.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.
