J. Michael Johnson served 2 tours in Korea 1956-57 and 1959-1961. Resigned his commission in 1963 as a Capt. He then served in Coast Guard Aux. from 1970 thru 2000. He was Flotilla Commander in Dana Point for many years and served as Commandant District 11 for a few years in the 1980's.

He revitalized the American Legion Post 133 in Huntington Beach CA growing it from about 9 members to well over 200 active members and 400 registered members. He was very active in the Legion, Locally, Regionally, and Nationally.

He was always very proud of his service and did all that he could to preserve the respect due to those who chose to serve their country.

On Wednesday 03 September 2008 the PGR will gather at St. Simon and Jude Church 20444 Magnolia Street Huntington Beach, Ca 92646 and form a flag line as the family arrives. Following the services we will escort Michael to Riverside National Cemetery (RNC) 22495 Van Buren Blvd Riverside, CA 92518

0900 Stage at St. Simon and Jude Church 20444 Magnolia Street Huntington Beach, Ca
0915 Mission meeting
0930 Flag Line

Departure for RNC will follow the services.

Military Honors at RNC are scheduled for 1400.

Please feel free attend any portion of this mission you can.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. If this will be your first mission go to the staging area you will be briefed there. Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage.
