"When you say four thousand dead, that doesn’t really mean anything. It's just a number. You can dismiss it. But if you start getting into names and faces and you see the mom and you eat pot roast with her, and you drink beer with their friends, and you listen to the guys who carried him back talking about the blood on their uniforms -- you can’t dismiss it. And that’s just one. That’s just one."--Mr. Chris Jones

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of LCpl. Juan Lopez-Castaneda. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Juan.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

To the Friends and Family of LCpl Juan Lopez-Castenada we offer our deepest condolences. There are no words to ease this pain you feel so deeply. I wish there were. I can only THANK YOU for sharing this American Hero with US, for raising a son willing to step up and defend this great land we call home. Your Hero will be treasured in the hearts of America forever and a part of him will go forward with everything we do in honor of OUR Military!

LCpl Juan Lopez-Castenada Stand Down Marine! Your mission here accomplished! Ya know, when I saw 19 I thought about so many of our youth...so many. Then this morning as I watched my son get on the bus I was struck with how proud I really am to live in this great land. My son is 21 and he is Autistic. Juan, you stood for me and millions more like me in a time of great havoc thruout the world. And you stood for my son who cannot defend himself thru no fault of his own. He lives in a place guarded and protected by men like you and so many who came before, and I am deeply grateful to you. To say THANK YOU seems so small given the price, but I can only offer my heart to one so brave!
From this Mom....THANK YOU JUAN!

Fellow Patriots:

I know thanking you all for being there today is foolish as you were all there because of your hearts and for the right reasons, so let me just say I am honored to call you all my brothers and sisters in the PGR and thank you for all you did today to help honor this Hero & Family.
